Currently, there are -12 degrees Celsius outside. Guess what I’m thinking about? Summer, obviously. I didn’t get to post the pictures I took in Portugal last August. In case you are planning your summer vacation for 2017, here is what I recommend: Lisbon. Last year I fell in love with this city.
We spent five days in Lisbon in Bairro Alto, a central neighbourhood that never sleeps. It’s full of taverns and pubs with good music and a lot of people who eat even after 22 pm (thumbs up). Everybody dances outside on the narrow streets, because the pubs are very small. During the day, the neighbourhood is the exact opposite: tranquil and peaceful.
Where did we stay? We rented an apartment on Airbnb. I love renting apartments when traveling, because I get to live like a local for a few days.
After five days of visiting Lisbon and its surroundings, we rented a car and left for Monte Gordo, a small southern village where we spent another week just a few steps away from the beach.
