Turquoise Lefkada

[EN] Cristal clear water in shades of turquoise , mountains , sea, and trees in one landscape – this is Lefkada. Ah, i almost forgot about the smell of olive trees that accompanies you on your way to the beach.

[DE] Klares Wasser in unzähligen Schattierungen von Türkis, Berge, Meer, Felsen und viel Grün in einer einzigen Landschaft – das ist Lefkada. Ach, und der Geruch von Olivenbäume begleitet dich auf dem Weg zum Strand.

[EN] The villa we stayed at was a 2-minute drive away from Nidri. Nidri is one of the most popular cities in Lefkada with many taverns, a port and other tourist attractions. You defenetly need a car or a scooter to visit the most popuar beaches on the island. Without a means of transport you can not fully enjoy the beauty of Lefkada. Do you want to walk to the beach? Forget about it!

[DE] Unsere Unterkunft war  2 minuten von Nidri entfernt. Nidri ist eine der beliebtesten Städte auf Lefkada mit vielen Tavernen, einem Hafen und andere touristische Attraktionen. Um die schönsten Strände Lefkadas besichtigen zu können, brauchst du definitiv ein Auto oder einen Motorroller. Ohne ein Transportmittel kann man die Schönheit der Insel nicht völlig genießen, Der Spaziergang zu Fuß zum Strand kann man völlig vergessen!

[EN]  I will briefly  present the most beautiful beaches and places you should not miss if you visit Lefkdada:

• Egremni Beach: there are 350 stairs to the beach. But there is a way around it, for the lazy people. If you decide to make a mini day cruise, make sure to visit the Egremni beach and you will not burn any calorie :). You will not find toilets or a restaurant on this beach. In general, the beaches in Lefkada are pretty wild.
• Porto Katsiki: One of the most beautiful beaches with fewer stairs.
• Beach Aghiofilli: You can get a taxi boat from Vasiliki. It’s not worth the drive because of the bad road. Worth seeing.
• Kathisma Beach and Gialos beach: sandy beaches, retsaurants on the beach and free parking.
• Kalamitsi Beach

What else is worth seeing? Nidri town, Lefkada city, Sivota – where you can find the best seafood, Agios Nikitas.

[DE] Folgende Strände und Orte sollten sie nicht verpassen falls sie Lefkada besuchen

• Egremni : Hier gibt es 350 Treppen zum Strand. Aber es gibt auch eine andere Möglichkei, für die Faulen. Falls du dich für eine Minikreuzfahrt entscheidest,  achte darauf, dass du dabei auch den Egremni Strand besuchst. Somit wirst du keine Calorie verbrennen. Es gibt keine Toilette unten. Im Allgemeinen sind die Strände von Lefkada ziemlich wild.
• Porto Katsiki: Einer der schönsten Strände mit weniger Stufen.
• Strand Aghiofilli: Ich empfehle ein Taxi-Boot von Vasiliki zu nehmen um diesen Strand zu erreichen. Es lohnt sich nicht dahin zu fahren wegen der schlechten Straßen.
• Kathisma Strand und Gialos: Sandstrände mit Restaurants und kostenlose Parkplätze.
• Kalamitsi Strand

Was gibt es anderes sehenswertes? Stadt Nidri, Lefkada ,  Sivota – wo man die besten Meeresfrüchte essen kann, Agios Nikitas .
